Este último fin de semana se celebró la fase regional del European Youth Parliament (EYP) y Cumbres fue representado por nuestro equipo de alumnos en el que participaron junto a otros colegios británicos y bilingües de Valencia.
Dicho parlamento busca empoderar a las generaciones más jóvenes y sus opiniones sobre cuestiones clave. En esta ocasión, se debatió sobre política, libertad de prensa, agricultura y salud mental. Los integrantes del grupo asumieron distintos roles con los que defendieron sus propuestas ante un jurado.
Lua, Sophia, Felipe, Achille, Francisco y Bernardo se llevan una muy buena experiencia que, como explican, les ha proporcionado amigos y contactos de todo el mundo, aperturismo, mejora del inglés y conocimiento de la actualidad.
“Ha sido muy gratificante ver cómo nos desenvolvíamos con gente de otros países y podíamos debatir sobre todo tipo de temas de actualidad”, concluyen.
La Selección Regional de Valencia es un evento de debate que reúne a los participantes y les brinda la oportunidad de intercambiar ideas sobre diversos temas, siempre en lengua inglesa.

Last weekend was the regional phase of the European Youth Parliament (EYP) and Cumbres was represented by our team of students who participated along with other British and bilingual schools in Valencia.
This parliament seeks to empower younger generations and their opinions on key issues. On this occasion, politics, freedom of the press, agriculture and mental health were discussed. Group members assumed different roles in which they defended their proposals before a jury.
Lua, Sophia, Felipe, Achille, Francisco and Bernardo had a great experience that, as they explained, provided them with friends and contacts from all over the world, open-mindedness, improvement in English and knowledge of current events.
“It was very gratifying to see how we got along with people from other countries and were able to debate all kinds of current issues,” they concluded.
The Valencia Regional Selection is a debate event that brings participants together and gives them the opportunity to exchange ideas on various topics, always in English.
