🙏🏼From 26 October to 1 November, we will be holding our Vocational Week in Cumbres – an invitation to pause, listen and discover the plan God has for each one of us. This year’s theme is ‘Who am I for? Sent’, an invitation that encourages us to view our lives as a calling and a mission.
Throughout these days, we will reflect on the great gift of our very existence. God has created us in a unique way, has chosen us and calls us to respond to a plan of love that gives meaning to our lives and is capable of fulfilling the deepest desires of our hearts. That is why, on this occasion, we are focusing on our response to that call: for whom am I here?
This theme is already part of everyday life at the school and will accompany us throughout through various moments of prayer and the commemorative wristbands that the students will receive.
The week began with a very special moment for our Primary students. Today, together with their form tutors, they welcomed the parish priests at the main entrance. Afterwards, they spent some time with them in the classrooms, introducing the children to the testimonies and richness of the various vocations in the service of the Church.
In addition, on Wednesday and Thursday, Adoration of the Blessed Sacrament will take place in the Chapel of the Sacred Heart, from 11.30 am to 12.00 pm. This space will be open to all tutors and Secondary and Bachillerato students who, on a voluntary basis, wish to spend a few minutes in prayer and communion with the Lord.
As teachers, we are living this week with the responsibility and joy of accompanying our students in their human and spiritual growth. With the help of the Holy Spirit, we seek to be a light for them, helping them to discover that every life has a mission and that responding generously to it is the path to true happiness.
